While serving up traditional fish and chips and burgers, all prepared and cooked to order to a high standard, their menu offers different dishes like Blackened chicken pasta, Cumberland pork sausage and homemade red onion chutney Ciabatta. The Ministry of Titillation (M.O.T), the fortnightly comedy club at the Kensington, is hosted by comedian Simon Stone. He has a disarming style, mixing observational material with interesting and original thought; M.O.T runs fortnightly from October 12 2007.

The Kensington has played host to various musical icons over the years, with Freddie Mercury, Brian May and Roger Taylor often coming here for Queen’s band meetings. The last 40 years have seen the likes of Dr. Feelgood, Eddie and the Hot Rods, Johnny Thunders & Jerry Nolan (of the Heartbreakers and New York Dolls) and the Kursaal Flyers all come through the doors. Jimmy Baptista said on 15th February ... "Fantastic atmosphere and the decor is great. I understand that there is a new owner and bar manager there now. Tasted the food and the burgers are so similar to the Gourmet Burger Kitchen if not nicer, at at a much better price.

After speaking to the bar manager I hear there is to be a resurgence in making this into a major entertainment venue and I have been told to keep checking there events. After the service and the great food and wide choice of drinks I certainly will be!"
