MyNottinghill Awards 2001 (May 2001)
MyVillage receives extensive press including Hello, OK, and Sky after holding a glitzy awards ceremony at the Electric Cinema in Notting Hill. Local celebrities including Claudia Winkleman, Aldo Zilli, Oswald Boateng and Jenny Frost attend awards, while DJing is none other than Norman Jay.
In the beginning (1999)
Local site www.portowebbo.co.uk was started in 1999 by Roifield Brown in Notting Hill. Local Adam Cole was looking for a plumber one day and bumped into www.portowebbo.co.uk. He immediately recognised it was a great concept and invested in the company in March 2000. MyVillage is born.
