Back home they have been staying at a cottage in Balmoral together and supporting each others interests - she cheers him on at rugby sevens matches while he watches her modelling in charity fashion shows. They are also regulars at Ma Bells pub, close to university. Friends say Kate, who was educated at the exclusive Marlborough College in Wiltshire, is "very bubbly but also very discreet and loyal to William, she treats him just like any other student."

Prince William is grateful to David Beckham for getting him of the tabloid front pages. Sources say that the handsome heir has joked that he may write to Britain’s second Royal family to thank them for the good timing of their affair scandal.
The Becks story broke just as the tabloids were getting excited about William’s relationship with girlfriend Kate Middleton.
The Prince is unsurprisingly very protective of his personal life and doesn’t wish his first real relationship to make headlines.

William made his first public appearance in Cardiff on St David’s Day 1991. By this time, it is rumoured, his parents were seperated, although they did not officially divorce until 1996. In 1997 Diana was killed in a tragic car accident and the funeral saw William and his brother, Harry, become of real public interest for the first time.
Educated at Eton College William has three A levels in Art History, Geography and Biology. After leaving school he took a year out, during which he took part in a British Army training exercise in Belize and spent time with the Raleigh initiative in Chile. Wills later gained a 2:1 BA in History of Art at St Andrews University in Scotland before following in the footsteps of his younger brother by joining up at Sandhurst Military Academy, graduating in late 2006 and also joining the Blues and Royals. He will train to become a troop commanderthrough 2007 and although it seems unlikely that he will see active service he has indicated that he would be willing to do so.
On the event of his father’s ascension to the throne William will become Duke of Cornwall, Duke of Rothesay and, most likely, Prince of Wales. Should he become King himself he will likely be known as King William V, although he is free to choose any of his Christian names as a regnal name.
Throughout recent years William has been linked to several unlikely women, among them Natalie Imbruglia, Christina Aguleira and Britney Spears. William split with long term girlfriend Kate Middleton, whom he met at University, in 2007 putting an end to rumours that she was to be Britain’s future Queen.
