"i have been to this restaurant many times; it might not be on the high street like all the other pizza places, however it has a very friendly and welcoming atmosphere.

The waiters are well mannerd and very polite. There was a large chioce of cuisine on the menu and i just couldnt decide but our waiter suggested the chef's special, Carbonara. im glad of the choice, it was simple delicious.

The owner was friendly and came to check we were ok and enjoying ourselves. the desserts were simply mouth-watering, the tiramisu and strawberries were to die for.

I would recomend Il Carretto to anyone wanting a relaxed night out with good food at a reasonable price in a friendly atmosphere. "

"I've never been so hungry coming out of a restaurant in all my life. The portions are pathetic. The atmosphere etc are reasonable enough but seriously this is RIP-OFF Joe Public at it's extreme.

I have paid for small meals in fancy/haute cuisine restaurants, but this gives the impression of being a nice, homely restaurant with decent food which is what I was in the mood for. How wrong can one be. Our food was not cooked to our liking, but then again there was so little of it there it was hardly worth complaining about once you'd taken a morsel and discovered the problem. Seriously, stay well clear if you're hungry.

I wandered into Starbucks for a coffee and muffin afterwards as quite frankly I was more hungry coming out as I was going in."

""This cutesy Italian restaurant is tucked behind Notting Hill Gate in that bit where you always discover a pub or restaurant you never knew existed before, even though you've walked down there a hundred times. After going to see My Big Fat Greek Wedding and feeling unable to stomach both the film and Greek food at Costas on Hillgate Street, my friend and I decided to keep it simple at this little Italian restaurant next door. I love any Italian restaurant that has Chianti bottles hanging in their baskets from the ceiling. The food was delicious; my spaghetti vongole was good, if not a little bland, put the pasta was cooked perfectly and the service nice. We drank a lovely bottle of Italian red, lingering over our glasses and not feeling hurried. The dessert trolley passed the table on more than a few occasions, but I managed to resist this mouth-watering looking tiramisu. Then I saw one of the waiters - I think he was the owner - doing this funny trick I bet he only does once a night. He took a cappuccino over to a table, and upon nearing tripped up, with the appearance of spilling the coffee over the unsuspecting punter. But wait! It was a fake cappuccino! He had the punter - and me - going. I thought this was quite a good trick really, so at the end of the meal when he came over and asked us if we wanted anything else, I asked for a cappuccino, winking furiously. He didn't get it. Never mind. The rest of the experience was fine!""
