Louie- I Know What You’re Doing Tonight

Release date: Out now

Genre: Punk/Rock
Format: Single
Our Rating: 3/5

This single is a stomper. I was slightly pessimistic when I read the inlay, “Have been compared to Buzzocks and the Clash”. Frothing at the mouth at the thought of yet ANOTHER new band being compared to such untouchable idols, but, on this occasion I pursed my lips tight. This guitar- wielding band certainly has the resonance of the Buzzcocks and the front of Joe Strummer. With their Screeching vocals and blabbering lyrics-hang up the bowling shoes as Louie have scored a head –on strike.

Press Release

Punk rock six-piece Louie who have been compared to the Buzzcocks and the Clash amongst others are releasing a brand new single on WaKS Records.

’I know what you’re doing tonight’ will be available in download format and on 7" vinyl, the latter featuring ’Smoking Champagne’ as a ’B’ side. Both songs were produced by Blur/Kaiser Chiefs producer Stephen Street, who has now completed work on the band’s debut album, set to be released later this year.

Louie have already caused a huge fuss in the British music scene and been likened to the New York Dolls by Kerrang, the Libertines by the NME, and the Heartbreakers by both of them. It’s been said before that they possess the cuteness of the Olsen twin sisters (thank you NME), and couple this with a brassy whirlwind of seminal bedroom poses and We Don’t Give A Fuck mentality and you can see what all the fuss is about.
