Mel B drops baby weight - July 16 2007
Mel B has apparently been dieting and working out "like crazy" in an attempt to battle the baby bulge before the Spice Girls tour.

Scary Spice Mel, 32, gave birth to her daughter Angel Iris three months ago and says she’s nearly lost all the extra weight, reports the Daily Mirror.

She said: "I’ve been working out really hard and dieting like crazy and it’s finally coming off. I feel great."

Mel, who was reportedly spotted at LA’s Hyde club with her new producer boyfriend Stephen Belafonte, added: "I can’t wait to go on tour in December, things are going so well at the moment. I couldn’t be happier."

The new mum has had a hard time recently, after entering a paternity row with former boyfriend Eddie Murphy.

Tests have apparently confirmed that Eddie is the father of Angel Iris, although neither has commented on the question of child support.

Paternity tests have apparently concluded that Eddie Murphy is the father of Mel B’s baby.

The Spice Girl’s rep told People magazine that the results from two-month-old Angel’s blood tests came in on Thursday afternoon confirming that the actor is the baby’s dad.

Eddie had previously contested claims that he was definitely the father, after the pair broke up while Mel was pregnant.

The star submitted to a paternity test on June 11 and according to a source close to the Spice Girl: "He’s the baby’s father, it’s official. The baby is undoubtedly, 110% his."

The 32-year-old singer has never wavered in her belief that her former boyfriend was the father, despite Eddie’s very public querying of it.

A friend said of the result: "There was no doubt in people’s minds anyway, least of all hers. It wasn’t a surprise to her. She knew all along."

The actor recently vowed to stand by Mel if a DNA test proved he was the dad.

So far though, neither side has commented on the question of child support.


Mel B commissions scary pushchair - June 22 2007
Mel B has requested a personalised leopard print pushchair for new daughter Angel.

The former Spice Girl has chosen the Mobi buggy from fashion focused brand Cosatto, which already has a host of celebrity followers including Davina McCall, Amanda Holden and Geri Halliwell.

The brunette contacted the company and asked if they could design a leopard print version just for her - because there is a waiting list of eight weeks for this new range.

The makers at Cosatto quickly got to work, creating a pushchair with leopard print silk lining, a chocolate brown exterior, bright pink stitching and a gold frame.

Lisa Joyce from Cosatto said: "We can’t make them quick enough! Since launching them to our stockists in May, we have had three times the number of orders we expected and some retailers have already got customers lined up to take delivery of new product lined up until November.

"We were delighted when Mel B got in touch - we hope the design reflects her strong personality and we wish both her and Angel all the very best for the future."


Murphy ’has test over Mel B’s baby’ - June 16 2007
Eddie Murphy has taken a DNA test to determine whether or not he is the father of Melanie Brown’s 2-month-old daughter, spokeswoman for the singer said.

Mel B, also known as Scary Spice when she performed with the 90s pop group Spice Girls, dated Mr Murphy last year and has maintained that the child is his.
