Jade Goody is reportedly trying to get in shape so she can launch an acting career.

The Big Brother loudmouth has been piling on the pounds in recent months and wants to get rid of the extra weight before trying to land some screen roles, reports Heat magazine.

A source told the mag: "She wants to act, so she's determined to shed the pounds.

"Once she has, she will try to organise meetings in LA and New York to see about the possibilities [of acting]."

Jade, 26 - who has two sons, Bobby Jack, four, and three-year-old Freddie - is even jetting to the US to enrol at a fat camp, says the mag.

"She's really unhappy with the way she looks, but she wants to be away for a short amount of time so she can be back for her kids," the insider said, adding: "She wants to lose weight sensibly but quickly."

Police are investigating a suspected break-in at a house owned by reality television celebrity Jade Goody.

A spokeswoman said that nothing was stolen but a window was broken at the property in Chipping Ongar, Essex, on Tuesday.

"We are investigating a report of a burglary," said the spokeswoman.

"It is believed a window was broken to enable suspects to enter the premises but nothing was stolen."

Police said the property was empty and had been "sparsely" furnished.

Jade, 26, who has two young sons, shot to fame when she appeared on reality TV show Big Brother in 2002. She was a hit with viewers and after leaving the Channel 4 house she went on to appear on several more TV shows, launched her own perfume and unveiled a fitness video.

Earlier this year she appeared on Celebrity Big Brother and was embroiled in the race row controversy.

Jade splits with Jack? - Aug 22 2007
Jade Goody and Jack Tweed have split up after two years together.

The couple ended their tempestuous relationship after a spat on Monday night, according to the Sun.

Jade, 26, had a miscarriage just two months ago, but in the last two weeks the pair had moved into a barn house in Upshire, Essex, and had apparently even discussed marriage.

A friend of the couple told the paper: "They have been growing apart for months. The miscarriage hit them incredibly hard and the age gap has caused problems.

"Jack is devastated and Jade is inconsolable but both accept they don’t have a future together.

It’s the latest blow for Jade, whose career has been suffering since her ill-fated appearance in Celebrity Big Brother earlier this year.

The reality TV star, who also has two children with ex Jeff Brazier - Bobby Jack, four, and two-year-old Freddie - has also had to contend with parents at a posh Essex school who’ve reportedly started a petition to keep her son out of the school.
