Serenading the baby - April 04
Chris Martin has been singing to wife Gwyneth Paltrow’s ever growing baby bump.

The Coldplay singer hopes that the child will follow in his footsteps and become a musician too. Chris told press that he had played the baby a Coldplay song on his guitar and he or she seemed to like it. Even if the baby doesn’t take after its daddy, it’ll still have acting to fall back on though.

Married life is great! - 02/01/04
Chris Martin has confirmed his marriage to Gwyneth and that ’he can’t wait to be a dad’.

He told the Sun newspaper that he and actress Gwyneth Paltrow got married in California as ’it was great to tie the knot without any fuss’. He went on to say that they had no plans to move to the USA and were happy living in London.

Chris joked about the baby ’I’m thinking of calling it Liam or Noel. Apparently Liam said a few things about me that weren’t complimentary but I think I’ll repay the compliment by naming the baby after them.’

It looks like Coldplay might take a bit of a well-earned break though; he said that their new material would only come out in 2005.

Are they already married? - 09/12/03
Rumours are flying thick and fast that Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin have apparently wed in secret.

We knew that they had applied for a marriage license in Santa Barabra, but now it appears the pair may have gone one better and married soon after getting the license. The Sun has reported that the couple took their vows at the Santa Barbara register office, where they both wore simple outfits for the 10-minute ceremony.

Later on they flew to Mexico, where they are staying in an exclusive beach complex. Chris had apparently asked for the hotel room to be filled with Gwyneth’s favourite flowers. It is said that the couple are expected to have a lavish blessing of their wedding later this week after renting five more large villas for family and friends. But of course, this could all be rumours to detract us from the real wedding, whenever that takes place! Agh - too much!

Chris and Gwynnie’s summer baby - 04/12/03
Chris Martin and girlfriend Gwyneth Paltrow are expecting their first baby, due next summer.

The couple have been dating for 18 months and are said to be ’ecstatic’ at the news. Gwyneth’s spokesperson however, has refused to comment on whether the happy couple are planning on tying the knot she would only confirm the couple’s baby news.

Chris wants charges dropped - 09/10/03
Chris Martin has asked the Australian police to drop a charge that he damaged a photographer’s car whilst on holiday earlier this year.

Chris is facing one charge of maliciously destroying or damaging property valued at less than 2,000 Australian dollars (?920). If found guilty, maximum sentence is five years in jail.

Megan Cusack, representing Chris, told the court that lawyers sought last week to have the charge dropped.
