Caprice has revealed that despite wearing designer togs for a living, she is a huge fan of the high street.

The 35-year-old former Wonderbra model said that she was impressed by the quality of clothes in stores like Topshop.

"It's fantastic because you don't have to pay a lot of money to look great," she enthused.

"I think it's great, they have fantastic knock offs now, with some of the designs you can't even tell unless you go up and feel it."

Speaking at the Prima High Street Fashion Awards, Caprice also said she thought the spate of recent celebrity lines such as Lily Allen for New Look and Kate Moss for Topshop were a great idea.

"You know what, it's probably a cliche, but I love the dress style of Kate Moss, and not only that but everyone can wear her stuff for virtually nothing on the high street - how great is that?" she said.

Celebrities at the 700-guest event included Nancy Sorrell, glamour model Lucy Pinder and footballer Jermain Defoe.

She’s not just a pretty face after all. Behind the blonde bombshell looks, Caprice is something of an entrepreneur she claims.

"I know people don’t assume so, but I’m a good businesswoman," the model told the Daily Express at the launch of premium fashion brand oli.co.uk.

"I design lingerie and yes, there have been the occasional mistakes in the range but I’ve got a solid knowledge of what women want from their underwear because I spent so many years modelling.

"Most of my time is dedicated to the business. I had to seize the opportunity. I’ll need something to do when I can’t do the entertainment work any more."

The model, 36, also revealed that she was looking forward to settling down and starting a family.

"Not just yet," she said, "but I want to have lots of children when I’m good and ready."


Caprice rubbishes rehab rumours - April 24 2007
Caprice has dismissed rumours that she was under suicide watch at the Priory earlier this year.

After a few months out of the spotlight, the blonde hit the headlines in February after it was claimed she was in the famous clinic.

She told Star magazine: "It’s categorically, absolutely untrue. It was a really hurtful story - just crazy really.

"On the night I was supposed to be in rehab, almost dying, I was actually on a 10-hour flight from South Africa to France to go skiing with my boyfriend.

"I even have the stubs from my plane tickets to prove it."

The Californian blonde added that if she was in rehab, she would be happy to talk about it.

"I would have been very open about it," she said. "It’s a serious thing and I’d want to use the experience to help other people."

She added that she "has never considered rehab".

"I’ve never been close to trying to kill myself like the story said. Yeah, I’ve been depressed, but I’m a human being and everybody has been down once in their life," she revealed.

Model Caprice has denied reports she is in rehab.

A spokesman for the 35-year-old said she is "very well" and enjoying a skiing holiday with her boyfriend.

She has just finished performing in a South African theatre production of Debbie Does Dallas, a send-up of the Seventies porn film of the same name.
