Royal College of Art: The Show

Exhibition
May 25 – July 2 2006
Students at London’s prestigious Royal College of Art have studied for eons to get to this point – this is the only college dedicated solely to postgraduate art and design in the world and has provided a starting point for artists as legendary as Tracy Emin and the Chapman Brothers - so they’re the best in their field and ready to be recognised.
The Show is the culmination of several years work and showcases everything from sculpture to painting, installation to fashion.
The Show: Sculpture
May 25-June 4
Battersea’s Sculpture Department will be home to the very best works in clay, concrete, metal and, of course, more outlandish materials, so for just a week and a half you’ll have the opportunity to see the artists that could be shaping some of our outdoor spaces in the future.
The Show: Part One
May 26-June 4
Want to know what you’ll be displaying on your mantelpiece or hanging round your neck in the next few years? Check this exhibition of ceramics, glass, jewellery and silversmithing. In addition this is where you’ll be able to see painting, printmaking and photography.
The Show: Fashion
June 7
Book now for your tickets to see the RCA’s take on fashion. Our favourite part of the whole thing, displays of footwear and accessories are shown alongside exciting and imaginative catwalk shows.
The Show: Part Two
June 23-July 2
Everything that you’ve yet to see will be on display here.  From the everyday (history of design and textiles) to the out there (vehicle design and conservation) these are the students most likely to affect your lives – the architects, the engineers and the animators.
