Elle, 42, split from Hitchcox last month after a three-month romance. However, it appears reconciliation might be on the cards, as the model and the real estate developer have been discussing what wrong in their relationship and what the future could hold in store for both of them.

A source told the Mail On Sunday newspaper: "Elle is realising John was a pretty good catch. She has dated a lot of difficult men in the past, but John is a lovely man and she has realised this. "She is seriously contemplating a reunion and spent most of her summer holiday in Mustique running up expensive phone bills calling John."

Biography
Born on March 29 1963 Elle Macpherson is the original Aussie supermodel. Standing at six feet tall she became known as ’The Body’ during her time working with Sports Illustrated’s Swimsuit Issue magazine on whose cover she has appeared a record four times.

Throughout the 80s Elle made her name as a model and as a businesswoman (albeit not a great one) with the opening of the doomed Fashion Cafe, but by 1994 she was ready to take on new challenges. Her acting career began with the saucy Hugh Grant film Sirens and since she has appeared in Friends, If Lucy Fell and Jane Eyre.

Elle currently owns and designs a successful brand of lingerie, Elle Macpherson Intimates and works as an advocate of Breakthrough Breat Cancer Awareness. She has two sons with her former partner, financier Arpad Busson. The couple split in 2005 (Elle was divorced from actor Jason Patric which meant she was unable to marry devout catholic Busson) and since she has enjoyed an on/off relationship with businessman John Hitchcox.
