Claudia Schiffer was left "badly shaken" after burglars cleared out her home while she and her family slept upstairs. Thousands of pounds worth of possessions were stolen during the raid - including a laptop and a camera storing family pictures. The blonde supermodel, 35, was left terrified by the burglary at her London home on Monday. A source told the News of the World newspaper: "She’s horrified at the thought that someone broke into their house and was creeping around while they were asleep in their beds."

The stunning blonde - married to film producer Mathew Vaughn - is also said to be devastated at losing her family photographs. The couple and their children - Casper, two and Clementine, one - moved into their ?6 million mansion in fashionable Notting Hill this year. Celebrities including Elle Macpherson and Geri Halliwell have been targeted by thieves in the same area.

Friends of the model and her husband, Matthew Vaughn, tell press that the couple have hired the ex Nepalese soldiers to work as gardeners, drivers and so on to ensure they are protected from stalkers and psychos at all times. Rumour has it that two foreign men were deported last year after launching a hate campaign against Schiffer, eventually breaking in to the grounds of her London home so it’s no surprise that the family have hired some of the world’s most highly trained soldiers to keep them safe.

The exclusive project will give residents special access to Nobu and all the other glitzy nearby venues that Claudia and Matthew will no doubt be frequenting.
