Is Sharon back on X Factor? - Oct 25 2007
Sharon Osbourne has reportedly met up with X Factor bosses to apologise for her behaviour on the last show, and to ask for her job back.

The 55-year-old stormed off the live results show after discovering that two of her acts were in the bottom three.

But the Daily Mirror reports that Sharon was due to meet executives last night to sort out her return to this week’s show, and has also telephoned Simon Cowell to say sorry for her actions.

"Apparently she apologised for her behaviour and for any embarrassment she may have called him," an insider reportedly revealed. "She said she would love to come back."

Despite Sharon’s admission on the Paul O’Grady show earlier this week that ITV hadn’t asked her to return to the X Factor, the source revealed that any plans to carry on with the series without her have been ditched, and "all is rosy again".

I haven’t been asked back - Sharon - Oct 24 2007
Sharon Osbourne has not been asked back by ITV after walking out of Saturday’s live X Factor show, she revealed.

The X Factor judge, 55, announced live on air "I’m out - gone!" after two of her three acts found themselves in the bottom two of the show at the weekend.

Osbourne, who was said to have rowed with rival Dannii Minogue just before going on air on Saturday, admitted she had "made a mistake" by storming off.

But the wife of former Black Sabbath star Ozzie Osbourne told Paul O’Grady that programme bosses had not contacted her to ask if she would return.

She said: "I had just had it up to here. I thought ’I’m not going to take anymore’.

"I have made mistakes. I made one on Saturday ... I can’t apologise for being me."

But she told the Paul O’Grady Show: "I don’t know if ITV want me back. I want to go back to take care of my girls but I’ve not heard from anyone. I’ll pay for the call."

O’Grady, who sensationally left ITV for Channel 4 and has previously launched stinging attacks on the broadcaster, told Osbourne: "You’ve got to go back or there’s no show. You’re the cog in the show."

He told ITV: "If you’re watching ’can anyone do the courtesy of picking up the telephone?"

In a jibe at ITV over the phone votes scandals, he added: "They’re good at phones."

Sharon won’t forgive brother - Oct 10 2007
Sharon Osbourne has reportedly declared that she will never forgive her brother after he betrayed her trust.

Last month, Sharon’s sibling David Arden sold stories to a newspaper.

Sharon told Closer magazine: "My brother took things that might have a tiny grain of truth then twisted and distorted them to a horrible level - and the rest of it he made up.

"Why did he do it? Money. I will never, ever forgive him for what he did. There are no second chances. I just hope the money was worth it."

The X Factor judge added that the betrayal was made worse by the fact that she and husband Ozzy have supported David and his family over the years, buying him cars, house and holidays.

However she insists she is not angry with him.

"It’s been tough for him," she continued. "His father was a pioneer in the music industry, his brother-in-law is a legend, his sister, niece and nephew are all celebrities. He’s got a big chip on his shoulder."

Biography

Born Sharon Rachel Levy to media mogul Don Arden and his wife Hope, Sharon first met husband to be Ozzy Osbourne at the age of seventeen, whilst working as a receptionist for her father.  When Ozzy was fired from his band, Black Sabbath, in 1979 Sharon leapt at the chance to represent him as a solo artist.  It was Sharon who coordinated a comeback for Ozzy, eventually making him one of the world’s premier metal acts.

Sharon also worked her magic on acts such as The Smashing Pumpkins, Coal Chamber and Motorhead, there are also rumours that she briefly worked with Queen but was sacked by Freddie Mercury.

During their long hours together Sharon and Ozzy fell in love and, in 1982, they were married in Hawaii.  However, it hasn’t all been romance for Sharon, she has stuck by her husband through his drink and drugs problems, which came to a head when her husband tried to strangle her.  Despite everything Sharon has stood by her man and turned her family into a hugely successful media product.

In 2002 The Osbournes aired on MTV.  The show followed the lives of Sharon, Ozzy, son Jack and daughter Kelly as well as their legion of pets as they went through day to day life in California.  An immediate hit The Osbournes immediately launched the family in to the limelight like never before and when Sharon was diagnosed with cancer during the making of the series she insisted filming continue.

Despite the bad luck that came with the series - both Jack and Kelly developed problems with drink and drugs during that time - there has been a silver lining for Sharon.  Ok, so her self titled talk show wasn’t the hugest success in the US but her role as judge on The X Factor has launched Sharon to a whole new audience while the UK version of her talk show garnered a respectable amount of viewers.

Elsewhere Sharon has set up top rock festival Ozzfest and published her autobiography, Extreme, which sensationally revealed the levels of plastic surgery she has undergone, including lap-band surgery (which reduces the size of the stomach) and detailed her ongoing battle with bulimia.  However, it is her outspoken ways which have seen Sharon hit the headlines time and time again, from hitting out at Chris Tarrant to a fued with Iron Maiden, via bitchy comments to Rebecca Loos and a neverending argument with fellow X Factor judges Simon Cowell and Louis Walsh.
