Eclipse is a group of modern cocktail bars based across South West London. They serve a range of drinks in hip environments, with regular DJs. Eclipse South Ken serves beers, wines, spirits and cocktails as well as a selection of light snacks. They also have a DJ playing a host of tunes on Friday and Saturday nights. The cocktail bar is for private parties and 2 of their floors are available for hire.

'Eclipse South Ken returns with a freshly revamped cocktail list and gilded 60's/70's interior decor'
Eclipse [South Kensington] relaunches this May 2011 with its newly refurbished interior; a jazzy metallic décor with 60’s and 70’s influences. Complete with vintage chandeliers, Tom Dixon light settings, mirrors, silver and gold wallpaper and a metallic bar inspired by interior designer Juliette Pillman’s travels around the world, Eclipse now embodies her initial “objective [which] was to create a warm and chic interior, glamorous enough for women to come and enjoy a fulfilling experience.”
The VIP feel and expert knowledge of Eclipse’s mixologists was, however, not limited to the females of the species on its press relaunch night, as its top 5 cocktails were a hit with everyone present.
The finely balanced blend of premium spirits, vintage liquors, deeply satisfying fruit cordials and fresh fruits themselves was present in each example of Eclipse’s top 5, from the freshly squeezed lychee and vodka mix to the passionfruit, blackberry and watermelon variants. With a little cocktail experience up my own sleeve, I was impressed by the ease with which each cocktail went down, implying that despite the ABV %, the mixologists had engineered the perfect blend of spirit to mixer.
Eclipse’s revamped look was able to host a fluid change within itself on its relaunch night, as the chilled out bar vibe at around 7pm moved through to a heavier, club-like bass-heavy feel by around 10pm, thanks to a sophisticated DJ set running smoothly throughout the night.
With Ignite Group’s other venues already well-established in London’s VIP members circles (such as Cocoon and Boujis), Eclipse returns to the trendy, elite district of South Kensington’s Old Brompton Road, rejoining its sister branches in Chelsea and Barcelona.
Definitely a bar experience to be had by those whose tastes in cocktail mixology flies higher than the standard West End ‘Sex on the Beach’-in-a-plastic-cup alternatives.

The bar looks gorgeous after the refurb, the drinks are still outstanding!!!Loving the Gold and silver colouring... Great atmosphere last Thursday and super hot DJ.
