Well its an improvement over Burger King, its as if a spaceship has landed on Notting Hill Gate with its guns a blazing, ITSU is HERE! The frontage is impressive, which gives passers by on the No 94 bus a great view into the bar on the first floor.

My Chicken Teriyaki was good my tiger prawn tempura even better. All that let down my meal was the service, though delivered with a small was a little haphazard. To be fair it was the first day of service so I'll forgive and forget.

I love the faded grandeur of the Coronet. The steep rows of chairs, theatre interior and the superb balcony really make for a special movie going experience.

Dashed in for a quick bite last week, Baalbak was a nice surprise as I had never been before. Lebanese nosh with great cous cous, falafel and lovely hunks of lamb. Service was decent and they bravely had a couple of tables outside. If you on Goldbourne you could do much worse.

Without a doubt one of the best new venues in London. An innovative programme of events in a great venue.

I was dragged to this girle haven by my better half. Cream teas were the order of the day, however we were out of luck, the customer in front of us purchased the last scone. Whoops, yelps and shrieks eminated from the birthday party taking place in the rear, every other table was occupied by women. I'm sure they make a pretty penny over the weekend.

My rhubard crumble and "her" victoria sponge went some way to make up for the lack of cream, tea and scones but in fairness they were not what I had come for. Our waiter was lovely, our bill was modest and our afternoon enjoyable.

A sunny Friday afternoon on Portobello watching the world and the market trundle by... The Portobello Juice Bar is the perfect location for realising that we live in the best neighbourhood in London.

Husband and wife team, Ali Mousawi and Maysaloun Faraj are the brains behind, Ayagallery. Dedicated to exhibiting and promoting contemporary art from Iraq and the Muslim art world it hosts some interesting and important exhibitions. An ideal place to while away 20 minutes whilst on Fulham High Street.

A great place for quick grub. When Lebanon Express first opened, the amount of salt they cooked with most have broken some EU food directive on sodium levels but they have now happily sorted that out.

Cheap chow, at nice unPortobello Road prices.

A bolt hole for “yummy mummies” and the “organic parents” set in up and coming Kensal Green. Full to the rafters on Saturday’s and Sundays, they provide ample facilities for young families and if you are new to the area it’s a great way to meet other new Mums and Dads.

The food is nothing too special and in reality the prices owe more to greater Notting Hill then next door Harlesden.
